The Delta^® Pilar™ Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet with Touch₂O™ Technology received a Building Products’ 2009 Most Valuable Product (MVP) Award in the “Kitchen Products” category.

This is the eighth year that Building Products magazine has awarded this honor to products that represent the best new entries in the housing industry in the past year. A select panel of judges representing all aspects of the housing industry reviews each entry based on the value it provides builders and remodelers including ease-of-use, forward-thinking and cost-saving elements. Pilar with Touch₂O Technology is one of 21 winners that represent eight product categories including kitchen and bath, interior and exterior, tools and equipment, windows and doors, construction and home technology products.

Pilar is smartly designed for a cleaner and more efficient way to work in the kitchen. The breakthrough pull-down features three relevant technologies from Delta that help simplify kitchen tasks and provide a revolutionary leak-free, lead-free water delivery system. With Touch₂O Technology users can start and stop the flow of water with a simple tap anywhere on the spout or the handle, saving both water and energy. Touch₂O Technology also makes kitchen tasks easier during food preparation and clean up and helps prevent the spread of bacteria.

The Pilar design incorporates a two-function, pull-down spray head that switches from stream to spray with the click of a diverter button. A magnetic closure, called MagnaTite™, intuitively engages the spray head to its docked position. The faucet also features DIAMOND Seal Technology, an exclusive water delivery system that reduces leak points, eliminates contact with potential metal contaminants, simplifies installation, and provides long-lasting performance.
